U-tron Systems Inc is seeking a highly motivated, organized, mechanically oriented, hands-on individual to join their growing team in an onsite Field Supervisor / Foreman full-time salaried position for their projects throughout NY and surrounding states.

Responsibilities:

· Under supervision of the Project Manager, is responsible for all of the project field activities including subcontractors and suppliers under contract with U-tron Systems.

· Ensure that the work is performed in strict accordance with the project plans and specifications and that subcontractors and vendors adhere to their scope of work.

· Ensure that the work is performed in strict accordance with OSHA and local safety guidelines and hold weekly toolbox talks with workers as well as complete daily JHA’s.

· Enforce strict housekeeping rules to maintain a safe work environment for its workers.

· Communicate with the Project Manager daily to review schedule and project specifics, and is responsive to the Project Manager as needed to promote strong team coordination.

· Coordinate all deliveries to the site, including product from U-tron and its subcontractors / vendors, with the project’s Construction Management team.

· Adherence to the overall schedule of the project. Should the work be delayed, it is the Supervisor’s responsibility, in conjunction with the Project Manager, to develop and implement a plan of action to bring the schedule back in line.

· Complete and submit daily paperwork to the Project Manager, including but not limited to; Daily Pre-task Plans (JHA’s), Daily job reports, 2 week look-ahead, schedule updates, progress photos, etc.

· Attend weekly meetings with the project team and provide updates on the status and schedule of ongoing and upcoming work.

· Keep the project moving in a forward direction.

· This candidate, as a customer-facing representative for U-tron, will hold themselves, and others, to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.

· Knowledge in basic construction math.

· Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.

· Proficiency in PDF software including Bluebeam and Adobe.

· Welder certifications a plus.

· Electrical (low-voltage, line-voltage) experience and understanding a plus.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in construction related studies or relevant field experience (8+ years including minimum 3 years of Journeyman level, and one year minimum in Supervisor position). Experience with mechanical, conveyor and elevator systems a plus.

· Candidate must have their own transportation and be willing to travel between multiple jobsites in NY and surrounding states. Reimbursement available as applicable.

· Ability and willingness to travel outside of NY, as needed, for extended travel times (5+ weeks at a time).

· Possession of basic tools for onsite construction work related to mechanical and electrical trades.

· Certifications for, or ability to obtain, OSHA 30, CPR, First-Aid, etc.

· Certifications for operation of construction equipment, including but not limited to, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and similar equipment.

· Contractor’s license (General, Electrical, etc) a plus (any state).

U-tron Systems Inc is seeking a Service Technician to support our on-going installations in the Tri State area. As a Service and Maintenance Technician Level 1 you will be working daily performing routine scheduled mechanical/technological maintenance and unscheduled emergency service & repair. On-call rotation is required. This job requires someone who is a natural self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment – A person who thrives on challenge and problem solving. If you enjoy identifying problems and quickly taking action to resolve them, you will do well here.

Key Duties Include:

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
  • Inspect assembled equipment to ensure proper installation.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.
  • Tune and troubleshoot equipment, diagnose errors or technical problems.
  • Assemble, align, repair and install electromechanical equipment as necessary and according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repair equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Operate system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.
  • May instruct and supervise workers in testing, servicing, tuning, adjusting and repairing equipment.
  • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Work with technical teams and share information across the organization.
  • Improves existing technical documentation.
  • Builds positive relationships with customers.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules and locations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to manage service calls in a timely manner while providing quality workmanship.
  • Highly technical and hands-on, experienced in performing preventative maintenance to machinery using a variety of tools.
  • Capacity to work independently and think creatively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
  • A strong technical and mechanical background with solid troubleshooting skills.
  • Electrical background is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
